Natural Remedies to keep you on the top side of Healthy!!

Fall Sunrise - JLBruno

The bright crimson leaves of Autumn remind us this is a season of letting go — releasing and preparing ourselves for the arriving cold season.  Yes - the winds of change, biting frost and visible breath billowing out to lead our steps  are all part of the Joy of the Season and even more reason to appreciate the Wisdom and Beauty of Nature.

One gift of this Beauty and Wisdom is that it teaches us we live in a benevolent world, one that flows in ever changing cycles that are intended to support the continuance of Life.  It is our honor — and choice — to live in harmony with the cycles and seasons,  and to use the abundant resources of Mother Nature to support a thriving, abundant, joyful and health-filled life.

With the incoming ‘cold season’ also comes a flurry of opportunities to let go in other ways  - of dis-ease, dis-empowering habits, and even buggery viruses, sniffles and flu streaks.

Over the years, we’ve found simple is best, so we’ve compiled a select list of  our most cherished, effective and widely accessible health-aids to boost the immune system and enhance our ability to quickly move through anything that comes our way.

Mother Earth Not surprisingly, a mountain of evidence is beginning to surface, reflecting that our time-tested, natural methods of enhancing health and well-being are far superior to hastily created, potentially dangerous, ‘money-making rackets’ that often cause the very thing they are touted to protect us from. We have found the below info to be of great worth and trust it will bless your lives, too.

Remember, together we possess a massive amount of wisdom and healing power and you’re invited and highly encourages to share methods here that work for your family, too.

Thank you, in advance, for sharing your wisdom tools!

Let’s get going:

MMS - Miracle Mineral Solution

We use this often and with great success — as a daily health maintenance and for all sorts of ailments that come our way.  MMS is truly a blessing beyond measure! We have been flu free for many years, and attribute much of our health to MMS.

For the MMS Flu protocol, we’ve set up a special page to make sure you are empowered to use it to its full potential. To read, go here:

MMS FLU PROTOCOL

We cured our 5 year-olds strep throat in a day, without the use of antibiotics that strip our natural defenses and leave us potentially more vulnerable.  We have also used MMS for common colds, to clean wounds, purify water and even get the mildew-odor out of clothes left too long in the washer (3 activated drops in the wash bin (no need for more soap!) and rinse again. Fresh and mildew-free.

Please consider making this product a household must-have.  You will be glad you did and can thank us later! ;-)

Our recommended source for MMS is Project Green Life. Click this link to find our more and to order MMS for your household

Whew Juice!

Chopped onions, horseradish, habanero peppers, garlic and ginger soaked in apple cider vinegar for a month or so, then strain.  Make this now, you will be grateful later.  Here is a link to the recipe along, with use instructions.

This is one powerful concoction and you will feel its effects immediately.   It stores well, goes along way and will warm you up from the inside out.

Word of warning:  the ‘aroma’ is strong and experience intense.  It’s well worth it, just be prepared to have mints on hand to freshen up your spicy, firey breath!

Oil Pulling

Step 1:  Take 1 Tbsp of either sesame oil or sunflower oil and swish in mouth for 15-20 mins. on an empty stomach.  DO NOT SWALLOW.  Pull it through the teeth and use a chewing motion *without* clanking teeth together.  Spit in toilet when done, as the oil (and now lots of spit, too) will be filled with bacteria.

Step 2:  Take one cup warm water and add 1 tsp salt.  Stir til dissolved and gargle with salt water.  Really swish it through the teeth to remove traces of oil and use a toothbrush, making sure to get the gums, too.  Use about 1/4 - 1/3 of the salt water.  Now fill the cup again, cup your hand and pour this weaker saline solution into your hand.  Draw through the sinuses, spitting out the saline in the sink.  This helps to clear the nasal passages, and makes sure any bacteria that might have climbed up is out.

This ayurvedic practice is simple, effective and something recommended as a life-long practice. Doing this on an empty stomach is important, so do the Oil pulling first thing in the AM or right before bed - or both!

… and for the Wise Wives’ tale, we’ll let you decide whether it works or not!  If you do give it a go, let us know your experiences.  There are a lot of naysayers out there — that this is more rumor than real benefit.  We say, ‘Why not?’

Keep an Onion by the bed - or in every room!

Cut both ends off an onion put one end on a fork and then place the forked end into an empty jar…placing the jar next to the sick patient at night.

Here’s some history on this:

In 1919 when the flu killed 40 million people there was this Doctor that visited the many farmers to see if he could help them combat the flu. Many of the farmers and their family had contracted it and many died.

The doctor came upon this one farmer and to his surprise, everyone was very healthy.  When the doctor asked what the farmer was doing that was different the wife replied that she had placed an unpeeled onion in a dish in the rooms of the home, (probably only two rooms back then).

The  doctor couldn’t believe it and asked if he could have one of the onions and place it under the microscope.  She gave  him one and when he did this, he did find bacteria in the onion.  It obviously absorbed the bacteria,  therefore, keeping the family healthy.

Last, and perhaps most importantly:

An Attitude of Gratitude

Gratitude brings us home to the Heart of Now, allowing us to release stress and dis-ease by focusing on thoughts that bring us peace.  Gratitude is also the highest serotonin producing emotion, which helps to relax our muscles, maintain an alkaline body chemistry and be stress-free.gratitude-symbol

Stress is, perhaps, the most over-looked cause of illness, because we lock our body into a fight or flight mode, spilling adrenaline into the system, creating resistance to the ‘flow’, which clears our blood and keeps us on the Go.

When you start to feel fear, worry, doubt or stress wearing your down, take a moment and breathe.  Breathe again, deeply into your heart, and fully release this breath to make space for the next.  With each breath really feel yourself being the Great*Full*Ness of Life!

Let any and all thoughts go, watch them as if a river is taking them away and simple BE for moment.  Listen to the space between each breath and allow yourself to simply focus on the feeling of being grateful for this moment, for now, for the gift of Life. Now you are centered and able to move forward with ease and grace!

An Attitude of Gratitude gives us a place to go and remember we are Love, Loved, and are free to Love our Life so!

To explore the energy of Gratitude more, here’s an article called, “The Bridge to Peace’ sharing a simple tool for moving into a deeper state of Gratitude:

Many blessings of health and wellness to all!  May we all move through this season of change with wisdom and grace!  Again, please share your experiences here, wisdom tips and health-empowering insights.  Mahalo!
